What you can do
- Search and read Gmail messages, create Gmail drafts, send an email you have approved, and find Drive files by name.
Know before you start
- Sending is off until you turn on “Send email from Gmail” under What Aura can do. Aura sends only the exact recipient, subject and text you approved, from your own Gmail address.
- Aura reads one message at a time on request. It cannot delete, label or edit your mail, and it never reads Drive file contents.
- Calendar syncing is a separate connection.
Connect step by step
You’ll need
- The Google account containing the mail and files you want Aura to use. Workspace administrators may restrict access.
Connect your account
Open Connectors → Google Workspace → Connect. Choose the intended Google account and review the permissions on Google’s sign-in screen.
Return to Aura
Complete the redirect back to Aura. Confirm that Google Workspace is connected.
Choose read, draft or send access
Start with a read request. Drafting is on by default and asks you first; review the draft in Gmail. Sending is a separate switch under What Aura can do and stays off until you turn it on.
Check it works
Ask Aura to find a Drive file with a known title. Check the returned file name and link.
This guide does not run a test or change your account. Use the connection screen or the suggested request to check access.
Try a first task
Replace bracketed details with your own. Copying an example does not submit it.
Find the Google Drive file named [file title].
Prepare a Gmail reply draft to [message]. Show me the draft first; do not send it.
Send this email to [address] once I have approved the exact text.
If something gets stuck
The wrong files or messages appear
Reconnect using the Google account that owns the intended content.
Google says an administrator must approve access
Ask your Workspace administrator to review the connection. Aura cannot override their policy.
My calendar is not syncing
Use the separate Google Calendar connection under Calendar, health & messaging.
Aura says I’m out of AI credits
Open Account & billing to check your balance and reset. If a task stopped, review completed actions before retrying. Provider limits or paid provider credits are separate from Aura’s balance.
Administrator setup is required
Contact Aura support with the service name. Re-entering your credentials will not fix a service that is unavailable on Aura.
Remove access
Disconnect Google Workspace in Aura. You can also remove Aura’s access in your Google account. Existing Gmail drafts and emails you already sent remain in Gmail.
